MBA 5020 International Experience: CHINA
Course Description: The International Seminar will develop an understanding of international cultural differences and some important aspects of conducting business in an international area. Globalization has magnified the need for business professionals to appreciate the opportunities and challenges of doing business internationally. Today many industries and companies are increasingly global in nature, and international business can potentially differ in important ways from business conducted within our domestic borders. This experiential seminar is designed to provide an understanding of the basic issues affecting global business today. In particularly, we will focus on developing a practical introduction to and working knowledge of China’s business environment. We will identify and analyze factors that influence strategic decisions for doing business in a rapidly changing global environment. We will distinguish key differences and similarities in business practices in the United States and China.
Prerequisite: Admission to the MBA program or permission of the instructor
